While concrete is one of the most durable building materials, it is still subject to the wear and tear that accompanies weather and use.  Add to that the chemicals typically used in most pools and you'll likely have to replace that deck sooner than you would ever like.  Adding a custom cementitious finish will not only protect that deck, it will also improve the appearance.   Even better, a textured finish can improve safety for those walking on it.
