CONCRETE FLOOR STRIPING

One of the main issues with large open spaces, particularly with distribution facilities, is the effective use of the available space, as well as maintaining efficient traffic patterns.  Additionally, the typically unfinished concrete floors in these spaces contribute to ongoing dust issues.  This is not only a matter of implementing a clean, durable surface, but also creating a formal logistics and traffic plan for the space...all of which ESP Flooring can help to put into operation.

THE PROJECT - 130,000 sq. ft. Warehouse - Meriden, CT

Striped Epoxy Warehouse Floor to Improve Organization and Reduce

THE SOLUTION

We shotblasted all concrete to remove contaminants and provide a clean, coatable surface. The floor was primed and coated with a medium gray General Polymers epoxy.

This not only reduced dust contamination but also greatly increased the brightness in the warehouse because of the improved light reflectivity.  Safety yellow epoxy striping was then applied to map out the organization and traffic flow of the warehouse.

THE PROBLEM

Dust contamination of stored product and a highly inefficient use of available warehouse space.

THE PROJECT - 5,000 sq. ft. Electrical Switchgear Room - Merrimack, NH

Epoxy Striping & Traffic Paths to Maintain Safe Areas

THE SOLUTION

We screened the existing epoxy, applied an epoxy “tie-coat” and recoated with a thin film, economical, orange peel finish epoxy coat.

Safety yellow epoxy stripes were applied onto the new epoxy coating so as to identify walking areas and “off limits” areas. Our application methods ensure crisp lines and sharp corners.

THE PROBLEM

The existing epoxy coating became dull and in need of refreshing. The customer required near “clean room” conditions to control dust from entering electrical switches. The customer also required stripes to identify walkways.
