DECORATIVE EPOXY FOR BATHROOMS
There are many residential uses for seamless epoxy flooring systems. They have the decorative qualities that homeowners desire, as well as the ability to waterproof and spill proof the floor space.
THE PROJECT - Residential Bathroom Floor - Taunton, MA
THE PROBLEM
The Homeowner wanted a maintenance free waterproof flooring system for their bathroom, to replace the existing vinyl composition tile (VCT) which had failed, causing subfloor damage.
THE SOLUTION
The existing tiles and subfloor were removed and replaced with new plywood subflooring. All seams were fiberglass reinforced and the entire floor was coated with a flexible elastomeric epoxy coating. An epoxy base coat was applied into which was broadcast multi colored vinyl chips. The system was top coated with a non-yellowing, chemically resistant epoxy followed by a protective and non-slip urethane.
